DALY, Pádraig J.
The Other Sea
2003

'Many of the strongest poems in the collection are the poems of place, which Daly offers as a celebration of the beauty of the Irish landscape, and they immediately suggest an affinity between Daly's work and the similar inscription of nature and place in the poetry of, say, Seamus Heaney or John Montague... Certainly the majority of these poems are either explicitly religious or have a religious subtext... but those who read these strong offerings will be drawn by their nuance and by the variety of personal, historical and political events that Daly brings into his poetic ambit.'
- Cold Mountain Review , USA
